download part 1
download part 2
download part 3

Those words are from a spanish site so a site did the translator job.
"Still I remember that the past month of February regular to a new entrance as Mike Oldfield in pure state including, thanks to a good Asturian friend, in the shape of sopresa a file of delicious audio with great quality of sound and that did not yet circulate in its totality to discharge the card index through the network.

In this new special delivery, trying to include very rare recordings that do not yet circulate for the network, the files come for departure triple.  In some city during the tour presenting Tubular Bells II, the British musician and the band responded to a festival.  With a guitar in hand and in an environment of it more relaxed, Mike Oldfield surprised the assistants interpreting three joyitas.

In the first place, just as advanced yesterday by way of surprise, we listen to Mike touching with an acoustics melodies of a very special work inside his extensive discography:  Amarok.  All a lujazo and one of the few recordings that exist in alive interpreting those harmonious magicians for us.  Without words.

Mike Oldfield in pure state - 2.1 - 2.47 MB

As seal of the house could not lack an acoustic potpourri of Tubular Bells and, the recently premiered and great success of sales, Tubular Bells II.  Simply delicious.

Mike Oldfield in pure state - 2.2 - 6.39 MB

Finally, the British musician was encouraged with a very special melody for him.  He is a matter of the composed song by Bert Jansch and titled Angie.  He was one of the themes preferred during its infancy in Reading and the name of the duet that formed next to its older sister Sally, The Sallyangie, the title of the song stems from.

Mike Oldfield in pure state - 2.3 - 2.77 MB

In this occasion, as opposed to the previous delivery, I cannot cite the name of the person that facilitated me said material.  It is a Spanish companion, reader of the Blog and known for many of us, but promised to its source not to diffuse these recordings.  Although they are some audios not so marvelous officials that, commenting the matter by private with the interested, we come to the conclusion that is worthwhile to publish them and to enjoy listening al Mike Oldfield acoustic.

The recordings included belong to a fan American that in an occasion make them public during a few days for a reduced group of people and our companion had access to so prized material.  It irks me a lot not to be able to thank in public its permission to publish the files, but thus is the situation.  Just as it counts me, the curious thing is that these audios were extracted of an engraved video at the party.  I hope some day we have access to the filming."

enjoy
:D  ;)  :)

It just reminds me what a great guitar player/composer Mike is. This really is Mike in a "pure" state - no synths, processing, vocaloids.

Oh, that we get this Mike back for the next album!

I must confess my huge expectation to hes upcomming album..
His words goes around in my head;
"Im working on a piece of music - it's going to be a very long instrumental, probably going to be in 3 parts - gonna be like a piece of classical music... Its not gonna have any drum loops, its not gonna have any... It's not gonn be cool, it's not gonna be hip, it's not gonna be sexy. It's just simply going to be me making MY kind of music, you know...  I want to do a proper... real live concert again, you know. I want to kind of recapture what I started out trying to do back in the 70's...".

This makes me really want him in his old style.
He and his guitar. I think the chill out period made me forget what he did first. Not that i dont like the chill out style, but it is so enjoyable to hear he "touch" the music.
Just hear what he do with the guitar on those recordings.
He really need just a guitar. That is Mike!!
So awile, waiting on the new album. I have my patience and wait for his new pure gold album.

Heh....one of the things about being a somewhat older (or would that be, "less young?") fan is that time goes so incredibly fast. Two years....three years....it's nothing. Nearly tomorrow. :D

For those who have discovered that one of the lessons they were assigned in this life is patience (the other night, I dreamt that this was one of mine), here is the perfect opportunity to work on it. ;)

I'd be happy to receive it for a 50th birthday gift (July 2010) being held by a naked Mike wearing nothing but a big red bow, see how patient I am!!

Will probably have to settle for a naked Mike Smith but he'll do I guess. :D

Don't ask me where the bow will be tied you naughty naughty people!
