Hi all,

Very glad to have stumbled upon this forum - I am so pleased that there are many of you out there with as deep a love for all this music as I have.

I honestly used to believe that I was the only person who actually bothered to delve into the other albums by 'That Tubular Bells guy' but I'm glad to find there are loads of you out there who want to talk about Incantations, Amarok and yes, even Earth Moving!!

My dad used to have 'The Complete Mike Oldfield' on tape in the car, so Mike's music has always reminded me of heading off on family holidays - very happy memories.

Of course, once I was old enough I ventured out to buy all the proper albums on cassette (long since played to death!;) and I bought them all religiously through to 'Songs of Distant Earth' which I loved, but I never bought Voyager as it didn't appeal, and I kind of lost touch...

Still, I picked up a copy of TB2003 last week and since then have been digging all the old albums out of retirement and reliving some happy memories!

Better track myself down copies of 'Guitars' and 'Millennium Bell' I guess - I look forward to talking to you all!

James

Hi LivingForever and welcome to the forum. I hope you'll enjoy spending your time here as much as I do. I started listening to the "TB guy" after listening to Voyager", and then I started buying the back-catalogue, so I guess that Voyager isn't such a bad album after all, but I admit, others are better. Anyways, welcome.
