Inspired by the Desert Island Discs thread :)

Whether you've already tried it or not, what would you put on your own compilation CD of Mike's music?  You can have up to three CDs of music.

There's a bit of crossover with the other thread, except that over there, you're limited to one compilation CD.  Here, you are not...

CD 1:

1 Tubular Bells pt 1
2 Tubular Bells pt 2
3 Mike Oldfield's Single
4 Hergest Ridge pt 1 (remix)

CD 2:

1 Hergest Ridge pt 2 (remix)
2 Ommadawn pt 1
3 Ommadawn pt 2
4 In Dulci Jubilo ('hit' version)
5 Portsmouth
6 Argiers
7 Cuckoo Song
8 Wrekorder Wrondo
9 The Path

CD 3:

1 Incantations pt 1
2 Incantations pt 2
3 Incantations pt 3
4 Incantations pt 4
5 Pipe Tune

I'd hate to split Hergest Ridge up like that, but it's the only way I could find to fit all 4 of Mike's early masterpieces onto 3 CDs.  There'd be later stuff that I would miss, but this stuff still remains the essential Mike Oldfield in my opinion.

Jules

Great CD Jules!  :)  Although, I would have to erase about 20 minutes in order to fit Crises in  :/

All in all, it IS too difficult to fit all of you favourite works by Mike in, so I would play TB, Hergest Ridge and Ommadwn ALOT before pointlessly leaving for my desert island!  :p
