You asked for it! :D

But, hmm... that's strange. Where's that piano part you mention? I don't hear any piano. Do you mean that mellow, glocky synth? Don't ever call a synth a piano! Don't even call an electrical piano a piano. A piano has to be mechanical to be called a piano! It has value! Not every electrical thingy deservers the beautiful, yet powerfull name of the pianoforte! Those with understanding and respect of a true, rightious piano would never commit such a sin!

But, *cough*, er... sorry for that. The sound of the glocky part is nice actually, but sometimes a bit hard on the ears. You know, like it wants to crawl into my ears... you get me? It's those secundo's, I think.

The pitchy thing you introduce at 1:37 sounds different from the orginal, doesn't it? I don't always like it that much this way. Could it be that the pitch of Mike goes one tone higher (just guessing).

And is that a real guitar, btw?

well man actually...the glocky synth is the Rhodes Piano :)

about the guitar...no it's not a real one.....hihih never :D

the pitchy thing......maybe the tone higher...err right...

Technically, an electric piano like a Rhodes is mechanical ;)

Nice sounding track, I like the gentle electric piano sound combined with the oboe at the beginning. I reckon that the synth strings which come in at around 0:49 might be a little up-front (I'd probably knock them back a bit so they're more of a background texture personally), but no big deal.
The swoopy sound needs to go up more than a tone more (to stay in keeping with the original) - I think it should be an octave between those notes (as I remember it...) and you have it going up a fifth...still works though. I also notice that the bass goes down into 5 string territory at the end there - not like the original but I like it  :D

Nice cover, Booster! Like the guitar as well. Makes a difference when you put distortion over a sample rather than using an already-'distorted' sample. Very nice. And gentle. I don't like the piano sound too much either that you used, but it's still good. And with the good ol' Booster reverb! ;)

I love the reverb.  I have always printed keyboard parts "wet" when I record.  Now with computer, I print things dry, then add effects because I don't currently have a hardware effects unit.  But laying down the part with effects already on makes me pull out a lot more creative sounds on the fly.
