i must say im glad today.. Am going for holiday to crete today and when i came out in the mail box. There was my cd box set of Complete Tubular bells

So now i can take this with me and enjoy the holiday even any more. This is a really good collection and i think this must be the best box i have seen from mike oldifeld. I like the design very much.. Nice stuff! All my best cds Tb Tb2 Tb3 + dvd.. Not a bad start on a holiday.. or what

I bought one as well. But the "booklet" is very disappointing. And the crappy control... oh well. Enough said.

I don't think is an interesting box if you already got TB2 and TB3. It doesn't adds anything new and as far as I know the artwork is not specially good. But if you don't have them, then it may be worth it to have it

I'm not Tubularman, but anyway...

The DVD features the two premiére concerts that Mike did in 1992 and 1998 for TBII (Edimburgh) and TBIII (Horseguards Parade, London).

P.S.: I didn't buy the box 'cause I already have everything it includes.

i really think that The Complete with crime of passion is mikes "best of albums." Its really nice and the art work is allright. I bought it on lp first time. My first cd of mike was tb3 and then i bought the complete lp. This gave me really many elements of mikes different music. This best of album gave me a change to think alittle more before i bought a new one. I think my third album was crises. Well anyway..... This complete tubular bells was okey anyway too. Since i allready have all the tb series i also like to have this box set. I also wanted the dvd video. I know its only a video and some suround mixes things. But i like the video and i had it on computer from the internett (but not so good quality) But i like it. The design i like really much. Its great to have when you play mike for friends and the nature pictures in the background is something more than the usual albums design. But i must confess that i miss more material. Maybe it should feat a extra cd with promo songs from the tb series.. And it should deffintly have more pictures and rare mike pictures with instruments. A booklet of many good and cool things would done it perfect!!!

Well it does date from the early days of CD and was basically the vinyl double album translated to the then new format with a couple extra songs thrown in. They still hadn't worked out how to best use the CD format, the media itself and the presentation of the booklet etc, back in those days.

well whatever.. I have this dvd tb 2003 album. This dvd have many extra material. i think this dvd is a must for mike fans. It also have to videos; far above the clouds live, and sentinel live. http://oldfield.musichall.cz/diskogr....vda.jpg
