I can precisely and easily remember where i was and what i was doing on September 11 2001 . I was in a small French village doing a delivery with my truck for the local school ! I was listening the radio France Info , in mid afternoon and suddenly the info has arrived, i was been so chocked ! It was so incredible to hear , and to see later at home on tv , that America had been hit in his heart ! ....

Best thoughts to all the families of victims and to American people !

I was at work. Checked by chance the BBC news website and saw the news of a plane hitting one of the towers and thought it an accident and tragedy. Then an hour later I checked news again and remember all too well the sinking feeling I had with the news of the second crash and what that implied. A terrible act...

..i thought the same , after seeing the towers in fire , it couldn't be an accident and i said to myself there would be wars next ! ...and unfortunately i was right !

Weird ,because on September 11 2001 i was in this small village called Crezancy near the city of chateau Thierry , very well known for its American monument of First World War , where so many American Soldiers died in the Bois Beleau !

I was working in a GP surgery, and passed an office where the TV was on. I watched live as the 2nd plane hit the tower, and aware that a plane had already hit it. I remember that unreal feeling - like slowed down motion, and we were all pretty quiet - just disbelieving what we were seeing...

Very much thinking about that day today and those poor people -and their families...

I have been listening to Diana (track 11) and transcribed that section of Desiderata that Mike used. They are empowering words.

Yes the images still haunt me now! when I turned on the TV that day the first one had only just hit and the news came through on the BBC at first I thought it was an advert for a new disaster movie then I realised I was watching the BEEB or BBC & of course there are no adverts on this channel.

Then that second plane! those poor people words can not express the utter state of fear they must of all suffered and all for what? how in any Gods name can destruction ever better the lot of any man or religions cause.

The people who stood cowardly by whilst sending these mainly innocent people to their deaths are devils & not of any Gods work do or did they carry out then or on any day they commit these barbaric attacks on fellow men and women who are just trying to go about their daily lives!.

Know this if you can not look yourself squarely in the eyes you will never see the eye or face of GOD this I I1 promise to all

I say it here for all to read you who do these things will never be in Alla's arms!.  You whom planned this if there is a God then there can only be one & they will know who is innocent & it will not be you who took of lives that were not yours to take, for you there can be no mercy be told by all who stand as witness you are heading in the wrong direction your place will not be one of reward but eternal suffering in regret you go to be alone not one with your God but at one with your selfish memories of regrets for an eternity.

This is the section of Desiderata that Mike chose for "Diana" - words of strengh and comfort I think to those who grieve and who are disillusioned with humanity -

"You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world."

"Child of the Universe
You have a right to be here"

(repeated 6 times)

September 11: the day that "justified" indiscriminate hatred and violence against all Muslims; the day that "justified" invasions and wars that drained the economy of a nation and helped to send it plummeting into an economic crisis; the day that overshadowed much more terrible crimes that did not happen in the most powerful country on Earth.

Never forget.

I hear you well SIR,
Far to many have died and suffered here on our blue planet because of the acts of a few misguided & intolerant people on each side not seeing eye to eye & in ignorance of what is true to us all or seeing that we all need to share a common peace, in order to survive this race we now face and need to run as one.

However there is of course blame on both sides those of the greedy imperialist who think they are more deserving & those that use fear as a weapon.

On both sides both peoples are set against each other in a misguided belief in that their God is the one true one, which has been used for millennia as an excuse to set man against man & this is I am sure wrong in the eyes of any God, for all I have ever read in the basic rules of any root in all religions is basically the same set of rules.  They just get bent & MANipulated by the greed & hate of the Devils amongst us into ungodly rules or meanings.

I suppose we must ask how many people would have died if it was not for the retaliations, yet I do believe war will only spread bitter hate, the hornets nest will not be put to rest this way & we all should by now know it is all about the Yankee dollar or to be more precise THE PETRO DOULAR$ if Saddam had not started selling oil using the €uro does anyone think he would of been taken down?.

Well if anyone is in doubt you should spend some time looking into just what the petrodollar does for the American economy. It basically allows them to print as many as they can and for the price of a piece of paper & ink the world has to trade their goods with America in order to get the dollars to buy oil & if it ever fell apart America would be instantly bankrupt & I am pretty sure this is the reason they fight the wars & not for our good.

Dear SIR is this a part of the more rounded view of truth you were alluding to in far less words?.

First of all let me tell you that I do not condone the 9/11 actions.
I sometimes wonder why we pay so much attention to this. Have you ever thought how many innocent lives were killed because of American soldiers? Look at Vietnam! I believe chemical warfare was illegal after the Geneva protocol? But we care shit about those lives now don't we? But when something happens to the U S of A you fight back don't you? Fucking jingoistic America. Not to speak of the entire African continent being kept poor by the corporeal west (and the French farmers), because we can't afford Nikes that are 5 dollars more expensive. Pff...  And the only country that seems to be helping now is China. And don't give me that charity crap. All that has done is make the continent even more poor. We have known this for a long time but those people that are running the charities don't want to miss out on their trips to Africa and their fat bonus checks. Oh and we know this stuff, but we like the pretence and we all feel so good when we give our 5 dollars per month to our charities. But back to 9/11. It has never been clear what the Americans were fighting about after 9/11. I bet they only caught a few terrorists and an incredible lot of innocent people have become the victim of America, which likely will have been a lot more than the few thousand that died after 9/11.  A lot of innocent people were and some still are being kept in Guantanamo bay and tortured.

Long live America!

P.S. This is just my opinion so don't be offended
P.P.S. A good Vietnam movie which excellently portrays American soldiers is Full Metal Jacket.

Yes, no matter what the bigger picture might be, TODAY is for the people in those planes and twin towers who lost their lifes - and for the families doomed to perpetual sorrow.

That is where my sympathy lies.

I would agree with that were it not for the propaganda and media circus that surround the whole thing. It's that that prevents the world from remembering but forgiving and moving on. Same with anything that is a memorial to any war or act of terrorism. It only serves to perpetuate the feelings of hatred against a culture, race or religion instead of aiming to break down barriers, to create understanding and to stop anything like that from ever happening again.

Yes, I agree that we should remember all those affected by the events on Sept 11th 2001 but on which day should we remember all those mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, husbands and wives that have been killed (murdered) because of 9/11?

The fact is that these emotional upbringings distorts intellectual views and steer into politics based upon emotion rather than intellectual views. What I actually am trying to say is what Kazav has said and my previous post what Mustapha had said   :)

Ok. But today is NOT the day for that. Those who lost their lifes 10 years ago today were innocent victims ... they endured an horrific death, and I bow my head in rememberance of them - on this, the 11th day of September.

There have been many more innocent victims since 9/11 because of it. Let's remember them too.

Yes, we can remember them all - but today is the 10th anniversary for the American victims - and we can't negate that tragedy just because of the tragedies that transpired after that. They ALL matter.

See, now nobody cares. That's why we had to have the discussion on the 9th. Now everybody is indifferent again. Well atleast I am.
