If you had 200.000 $ would you take a trip into space with R. Branson's Virgin Galactic project?

Can't get this fascinating thought out of my mind - but I know even if I had the money I would be a coward at last.

It was said in the press that Stephen Hawking has already booked a trip.

I wonder if Mike would do it (I suppose he has 200.000 $ and could probably claim a discount because of his contribution to the Virgin success!  ;)  ), that surely could become a very inspiring experience for him. Perhaps we would get TSODE II then...   :)

Hell yeah! But I doubt I will ever have that amount of money at my disposal! the view would be spectacular though and to experience weightlessness and feel free would be priceless, I can dream on and watch reports of the latest shuttle manouveres from the safetyof my lounge room,
Cheers, Deb

Assuming i had $200k (which i don't)I'm not sure i would. What worries me is we live on a small planet (in who knows where)and if i saw the whole planet i just no i'd come back and suddenly get claustrophobia and run around like a headless chicken going "Is this it?I've seen the whole planet......what else is there????"Etc.So no i wouldn't. :)

"I ain`t getting on no spaceship sucker!"

To be honest I`m not exactly mad keen on getting on aeroplanes,so a space rocket would be 100% out of the question. You know traveling on a plane just about to take off for instance.I`m normaly the guy looking out the window thinking to myself.."Do we really need to be traveling at this sort of speed for gawd`s sakes? this is just insanity surely".The same kind of goes for white knuckle rollercaster rides as well these days. The older I get the more fearful I`ve become of them I think.Plus working in a factory environment as I do,I`m kind of surrounded by fitters, mechanics, sparkies and engineers all day long.I see machinery drop to bits and malfunction on an almost daily basis.."So what do you think`s wrong with it"?..."I dunno?..I`ll get me hammer out"!

.......and the seat belt will hold you in your seat in the even of an accident.......yea right!!

When did you last hear of a plane flying into the side of a mountain and the newsreader saying....

Luckily.... all 347 passengers were wearing their seat belts.......!!!!

I would trust Richard Branson  - but he probably won't be flying it - AHhhh - damn he probably will knowing him!!!  So yes I would if I had time and lots of spare money but.... I think I would ask Toran if he wanted to go first.   It will be more impressive for him to say I went to space in 2010 when he is 94  - in 2100, than me when i'm 94 in few years time - ok 2060, but still.    Anyway, i'll try booking Toran a Seat, see if they'll take him.

I'd rather be on horseback.
