This might be an unpopular point of view, but I think Mike's best solo is "Northpoint".

It's one of his best! It's easily the highlight of that album. The solo from "Discovery" (the song) is also superb. So is the Pictures in the Dark solo.
Actually, a lot of his more commercial 80s stuff has great guitar solos.

not unpopular, no not at all!!

also in Earth Moving "See the light" the short solo 3:24 i would love to hear in more extended version!!
and the solo from Discovery in 1.59 (amazing)

my favorite must be Far above the clouds.. its really strong!!
