Found it!
This brings back memories.I can almost smell the old school hall!Hell i can even feel the splinters in my backside from when the teacher used to tell us to "shuffle forward children" and we all did as we were told on a wooden floor that badly needed re-sanding and varnishing!
Tune: In Dulci Jubilo. Three settings of the tune: a Renaissance setting by Gesius, Bramley and Stainer's Victorian-era setting, and a four-part setting by J.S. Bach. [Download the mp3] Chorale setting by Bach from the Orgelbüchlein [Download the mp3]
Good Christian men, rejoice with heart and soul, and voice; Give ye heed to what we say: News! News! Jesus Christ is born today; Ox and ass before Him bow; and He is in the manger now. Christ is born today! Christ is born today!
Good Christian men, rejoice with heart and soul and voice; Now ye hear of endless bliss: Joy! Joy! Jesus Christ was born for this! He has opened the heavenly door, and man is blest forevermore. Christ was born for this! Christ was born for this!
Good Christian men, rejoice with heart and soul and voice; Now ye need not fear the grave: Peace! Peace! Jesus Christ was born to save! Calls you one and calls you all, to gain His everlasting hall. Christ was born to save! Christ was born to save!
Tröst mir mein Gemüte, O puer optime, Durch all Deine Güte, O princeps gloriae. Trahe me post te. Trahe me post te.
O Patris charitas! O Nati lenitas! Wir wären all verloren, Per nostra crimina, So hat er uns erworben Coelorum gaudia. Quanta gratia! Quanta gratia!
-------------- THE COMING OF THE GREAT WHITE HANDKERCHEIF IS NIGH.
