Does anyone else agree that it's a brilliant arrangement of the well-known carol with a stonking guitar solo, and do you also find that once you start playing it you simply have to put it on again? It remains one of MO's most commercially successful singles that can relate him to Joe public - you'll find it on this year's Now Xmas from EMI... Back to top

The Caveman Group: Members Posts: 2178 Joined: Jan. 2008 Posted: Dec. 10 2009, 09:56 The solo is one of my favourite Oldfield solos.Never pauses for breathe (which most solos do)and just flows.Plus it has that really nice tone he used back then (oh how i want that SG and the owner-we know who-wouldn't part with it for anything i suspect).The video is good too.  It's not just on Now Xmas.It's on just about any xmas compilation you care to mention.If it has Slade's Merry Xmas Everyone it's a fair bet that In Dulci Jubilo will be on there somewhere.We used to sing a song called Good Christian Men Rejoice when i was a kid at school with the same tune. -------------- THE COMING OF THE GREAT WHITE HANDKERCHEIF IS NIGH.
