Well its all very quiet in the world of Mr Oldfield these days. Apart from the remixes there appears to be no sign ok Mike working on new material. So i wondered, what would you like to hear? What type of album would you love Mike to produce next? Have you heard anything at all Mr O related? Doesnt matter how silly, daft or if you want, just make it up!!

Personally i would love mike to bring out a folk album the next time round! Heres hoping.....over to you....................

Folk could be fun. Reteam with Sally and ask a bunch of others to join in as well for "Children of the Moon"?

It has been rumoured that Mr. Oldfield is doing a guest appearance on CSI:Miami on some date this fall. He basically plays himself, an aging English prog-rock icon. 30 years after his "heyday", he drives his boat from the Bahamas to Florida. He is accidentally "inside" a crime scene whereby gubshot residue gets on his person, thereby making him a suspect. Horatio and Co. badger him quite a bit untill they dismiss him as a suspect. He then helps the crew in thier endeavors and has some interaction with our main character Horatio. Once the crime is solved(it is rumoured he will be called Mr. Oldman), Mike makes a clever remark about Emily Proctor's noteworthy posterior. End credits....Look for it.

Amend "gubshot" to "gunshot" in the previous post. A typo on my part, but the same mistake got Woody Allen in trouble in 1969 as he misspelled the word "gun" as "gub" during a bank robbery and was apprehended for this mistake.

You could say Fanny Oldfield talking about Oldfield recording a new album just may be somehow relative to Oldfield recording a new album, but I will play along to this entertaining scenario.

Joking Answer:
Barbershop Quartet (all that must be said on those matters)

Serious answer:
I thought I heard on Progarchives a while back that Mike is working on an album combining all of his styles and every  (living and willing to play) guest artists to one album. Including all of his instrumentation, the symphony from MOTS, Choir of Incantations, Jabula (or a replacement), and electronic instrumentation.

But just as easily could that have been sarcasm. I don't remember perfectly well.

I've read on the net something about a possible few sessions to recording an album called 'QE3'. Any confirmation??

I'm half a crazy man waiting for confirmation.

Is that a bit of funy??

Rumour has it that Fanny will make an album on herself alone.
She will be playing the mandolin linked to a huge amplifier.
She might also use some africans for her music.
Source is Mike himself.
