Yes, i noticed that too, and it got me thinking about Mike's royalties, now we know In Dulci Jubilo is not an Oldfield original, but he did make his own arrangement of the track, so, what % of the royalties would Mike get, and does that also apply to his other cover versions, like Arrival,Wonderfull Land, etc.

Isn't there like a small percentage for the person who records the song and a much bigger one for the composer. Is it obviously the MO version?

Speaking of Xmas, I just bought an expensive ($55) hard cover book called, '1001 albums you must hear before you die'. Haven't found TB in there yet but still looking.

Aha, it all makes sense now. You're stuck in some dimensional time shift, of about 4 months!! Now I see...

Makes me think of the 'Truman show' with Jim Carey.

'Goodmorning! And if I don't see you, good evening and good night'- or something like that.

Or in our case: I don't see you Merry Christmas, Good New Year, and Happy Easter.

You guys are a bit strange I think!

Anyway, I did find Tubular Bells listed in that book, '1001 albums you must hear before you die', was there any doubt? I would have been bitterly disappointed if it wasn't included as it was my only inspiration for buying the book and yet I was so confident it would be in there that I bought it without even checking first.

I bought the book for my partner for Xmas, cheeky I know as I will get more use out of it than he will possibly, but he is a keen music fan and has a wider spectrum of taste than I do. So while I can only look through it when he is not at home atm and I don't want to handle it too much for fear of it looking 'used', I am really keen to see how many of the albums in our collection of around 400 cds have made it on the list. The book spans 55 years from 1950. Can't wait to read it.

Why would you not want them all to be in the book? I would think it meant that you had exemplary taste. And as soon as I can scour the book properly, I will be counting up how many albums I have left to hear before I die. But then again, I am a little obsessed with numbers and statistics it seems.

Oh, I get it now, if you had all 1001 albums in your collection it would mean you might die soon, is that right?

How long did it take you to collect 1100 albums? Thats a sterling effort. I have been buying cds since around 1991, only had a handfull of records until then and I thought I was doing well averaging a cd every two weeks.
