I stayed up late for it, and I enjoyed it. Funny though, to see Jeff Beck play a semi-solid, or semi-acoustic, because he used to HATE them, probably because they feedback too easily!

Ironically, he smashed one up in the film 'Blowup'!

Was/Is Jeff Beck in a wheelchair? Is he still alive?

I hate getting up early. I didn't even realise there were two 6 o'clocks in one day!

I only remember seeing him on tele once years ago and he was spinning those back wheels around and effectively dancing in the chair, and just last weekend when listening to a local blues guitarist Chris Finnen, he mentioned Jeff Beck and my partner said 'Who's he?' and I wasn't sure if it was the guy in the wheelchair or not.

I got to meet and chat with him and got a CD signed! It was last year, before his Albert Hall gig on his 60th! A bit earlier, I got Jan 'Miami Vice' Hammer's too!

Simon Phillips played drums on Jeff's 'There And Back' album!

BBC Radio 2 - tonight (Thurs!;)

21:00   Rockin' with Suzi Q
Suzi plays US classics of the '50s and early '60s.

Jeff Beck talks about the record that changed his life, and the Romantic Rendezvous record is Lonesome Town by Ricky Nelson. Plus, Suzi features two country songs covered by The Beatles - Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby by Carl Perkins and Act Naturally by Buck Owens - and marks the 50th anniversary of the release of Need Your Love So Bad by Little Willie John.
