"Yes" its sounds strange... but i did!!!
I had a speak with Jon Anderson yesterday :D
He have his own one man solo tour in Europe now and he was visiting norway yesterday on rockefeller. The concert was good and he played many songs from Yes and work with Vangelis. He also had stories about him self and Vangelis; talked about how he meet them and the greek player he he.. In a word; very nice and good concert.
The fans was lucky to get autographs from him after the concert and of course i wanted that!!!
After waiting long for a long time, one of the last man waitin (VERY nervious) was me... My hands was shaking he he.. But i had it clear in my mind. I had my questions in my head and was pressing me to remember them.

We was very lucky to talk with him one and one and get autographs. He wrotet two for me! One on the dvd and one on the ticket.
Then he stood there, smiling and in good mood.  He took my hand and shaking it and then took the dvd to wrote autograph and i was talking about his workship with Vangelis. Talking about how lovely Geneieve and Garden of Senses is ect...
Then also said that i loved hes work with Mike of course. And he said; "ahhh!!! Shine!!! yes that one!" he looked very happy about that. He sort of lighten up abit. Maybe he was suprised because many fans who comes to his concert is Yes fans..
In my nervious voice, i asked him; Will you ever work with mike again? He said; "Yes i would love to do! If he call me up i will do"
So then i was thanking him for a good concert and said goodbye with tears in my eyes (almost!!!!!!!!!!!!;)

Amazing memories for me who just loves everything he sing. Special with Vangelis and Mike  :)
Thank you Jon!!!

That's great, lucky you to meet Jon, and it's great that he would work with Mike again, i have always loved "Shine", amazing guitar solo, and Jon's voice works well with Mike's music.

Indeed, thanks for sharing! I have always loved Yes and Jon's voice. Haven't heard them since 2000, but even then, I was surprised by the continuing clarity of his voice. I have always liked the attitude, mind-set, and world view that gets reflected in his/their compositions, whether it's the older material, the newer pieces, collaborations with Vangelis--I'm glad for all of it.

jon and vangelis i love too! the music is so peaceful and lovely. Jon played I'll find my way home, change we must and state of independence  :)  he had many funny stories about him and his work with vangelis. He was talking about his first meet with vangelis. The first talk they had was over the phone; and Jon asked Vangelis; "ehh hello, its Jon!" and vangelis said in very greek ish english way; "heeey yanny (something similiar he he). Jon asked if he would play with him and they made a appointment just like that. Vangelis said; "yes come over to paris and we eat and talk", Jon told us that he just melt for this genirous way to meet and he did. That was the beginning for Jon and vangelis! Jon one day came up in the appartment to vangelis, and the first he saw when vangelis opened the door was a bit funny he he..
Vangelis took his arrow and  bow and shoot down the corridor in his appartment down in the living room. "yes, now we eat" said vangelis and in the living room sat hes father looking at the television verry close he he.  Jon think this was very funny and told us this story with a shy and funny way. Really funny to hear actually.

I am so happy for you.  It is nice that your meeting with Jon was a pleasant one.  Many times when you meet someone you admire, you are disappointed because maybe they are not nice, or rude.  It's good to know that Jon is a nice and friendly man.

Thanks for the story! It's a matter of translation, but what does it mean when someone is "on rockefeller"?

"Shine" is not one of my favorite songs due to the main vocal part (which I do not like a lot), but I love the guitar solo and the "Ba, ba-ba-ba BA ba..." part.
