The Daily Telegraph has published an article about Kevin Ayers' The Unfairground, his first solo album in 15 years. Jimi Hendrix, Syd Barrett, Robert Wyatt, Brian Eno, Elton John and Mike Oldfield are mentioned in the notes about his career.

Thanks, Chris Simmons.

Oh, that's interesting news! I have some Kevin Ayers albums (most of the old work and with the Whole World), so I really wonder how this new album will sound!

Nice title. To be honest though, I've never followed Kevin's career beyond the first three albums.

Cool news I love Kevin Ayers stuff. And thats the best album title I've heard in a long time. Good to see his sense of humor hasn't left what what he does, unlike someone I could think of.....

I bet he's talking about one of Kevin's old sidekicks.

Mike?

Uhm... I guess. :D

Just listening to the samples of this album on Amazon, and I have to say, it's amazing how this sounds almost exactly like the stuff from the early 70s that is all I've heard of his before. As much as I appreciate what Kevin has done for Mike, and as much as Shooting at the Moon has been a part of my musical life... I can't really see myself listening to this more than once, sorry Kevin.
