Compared to this, all of the other Kitaro I've ever listened to (5+ albums) sounded rather weak, spacey, and lacking dynamics. It's good, but his style is more New Age-y than I tend to like. My albums are dated 1995 and 1999 and the first album includes Caravansary and Silk Road. I don't listen to them, it is pretty music but nothing instrumental compares to or thrills me likes Mikes music and I have never felt the need to listen to anything similar, these albums were given to me as gifts.
