ThisName Group: Members Posts: 307 Joined: July 2005 Posted: April 24 2006, 11:15 I was just wondering if anybody agrees with my following opinion: I consider this section with the bass riff and layering of instruments to be the most perfect example of a riff and most pefect example of a self contained melody. Do you agree? What I mean by this, is that as melodies go, this melody is so well structured as a melody line, its shape, its phrase length etc, and the bass line riff is just the most perfect example of what a great supporting line should be? ThisName Group: Members Posts: 307 Joined: July 2005 Posted: April 25 2006, 05:52 I guess what i mean is that if you had to give an example to an alien of what you would consider a perfectly formed melody, then the melody in this section would be the best choice (i dont mean your favourite melody, just in terms of its construction).
