Spent the entire day on You Tube the other day, boy it can be addictive. I searched Mike Oldfield and looked at all the stuff that wasn't actually Mike as I'd seen all that before, but other artists and fans videos of Mike and I came across this Scottish man who I am now madly in love with. He names Mike as one of his two biggest influences. He has had a lot of positive feedback and has made a music clip called 'Out of the Blue', it's his own music but VERY Mike influenced as you'll see. Lets give this guy lots of encouragement, heh!

'So it's a love song' and 'Whenever it rains' are Lems little extras he has added on to videos by a fella called periurban who is a very talented singer and worth checking out. And also while you are in there, check out gpert too, esp 'a cautionary tale', he's a funny guy. But be carefull, it's very addictive, and my arse is killing me!

Thanks, TubularBelle, for telling us about this artist. His music is fantastic! I wish I could be as musically creative. Unfortunately, I can only stick to creative writing myself. But still, listening to Lem is an inspiration too. I've got to go to school now, but I will be listening to Lem quite a lot now. Thanks again.

Hi james, I would like to have a look at this family, do you have a name for them or a link?

Sandy, such good taste for someone so young, don't let the other kids at school try to convince you that the shite they listen to is better.

Are you guys voting for Lem or subscribing to his videos?

Sorry, I'm not currently a member of YouTube so I can't vote. But, I'll see if I can persuade any of my friends too...oh darn i forgot. The school's blocked YouTube for some reason. Oh well, I suppose I'll just have to copy the links. That's gonna take some time. Never mind.

As for the family on YouTube. You may have this already, but this is a link to their version of the Sailor's Hornpipe. Enjoy!

Sorry, haven't got time to add in a Hyperlink.

great links - thanks everyone.

Funny to see the family hierarchy working in that family's TB clip. Dad gets the lead fiddly bits, eldest son the second theme, youngest son the chord progressions.

And mother presumably has to film it all, make the tea, clean the house, edit and post to internet the video, and finally make them some hot chocolate before tucking them into bed.

At least, that's what my wife told me was was happening.

Silent Guitar, Oct 05th, 2006.

I find it rather sad that he had to buy a quiet guitar so as not to disturb other people in the house, but it is an awesome looking and sounding piece isn't it.

Oh man, I gotta get me one of those guitars. Nice sound, easy to travel with and being able to record acoustic guitar in my house and my parents' house would be a plus. One time I recorded acoustic guitar I went out into my parents' garage at about 4am, my parents weren't disturbed but the neighbours might well have been and it wasn't entirely pleasant in there.

LemKuiper, busy, busy, busy, recording, mixing and stuff. Oct 09th, 2006.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vowVz4VtP4M

Oh, and here is little old me doing my 'One Minute Shout Out', how embarrassing. I filmed it 6 times and ended up putting the camera on the tripod on top of my table so I would have to look up at it because I didn't like my double chin!!! I now have one subscriber, LemKuiper, how exciting, so I better learn how to make some decent and interesting videos and you will never guess whos music I will be using as background.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBHXkreEFFo

Never realised how often I say umm and how bloody Australian I sound. Can you tell I like Lem, I went all shy! :p

If you want to check out my partners 4wdriving videos, look up HellBelly01.

Have also spotted Langdana and Tubulargard in You Tube. Hi guys.

Hope you don't mind me posting these here, but I wasn't sure if it was you.

My son collects fantasy art too, don't know the other artists but he has Boris Vallejo on collector cards and his partner Julie Bell, both body builders, her photo is on my fridge for inspiration or to depress me, I'm not sure which, and several others. Wonder if they are worth anything now, I spent thousands of dollars over a few years when the boys and I were into collector cards.
