Hello Mr Nick Horn As you may know Mike Oldfield will celebrate his 30th anniversary as a musician next May. As far as we know, Mike Oldfield himself has decided to celebrate it by re-recording the original Tubular Bells as he wanted it to sound from the very beginning. Fans around the world have some ideas that we, final receivers, think could improve the final product. That’s the reason of this letter; we would like to present our suggestions to you hoping you find them interesting. Our main wish would be a DVD-video containing all the music videos Mike Oldfield has done in these thirty years. He has recorded lots of them and they are almost never shown in public televisions. This includes live clips from concerts… Not to forget the computer animated Songs of Distant Earth video. Be sure that this would be a jewel for all of us. You may consider that it would be good not only for those of us who has listened to him for a very long time but for all the new fans who has never had the chance to enjoy them. And with the cooperation of Mike Oldfield himself we hope to be able to enjoy seeing him speaking about his thoughts of his career and the live concerts he has done. We hope that releasing a DVD with the above requested content is something not too difficult to achieve. The videos are already recorded and will probably need some re-mastering. That will of course cost a certain amount of money, but we really do think a DVD like this would sell more than well. We are many fans around the world and only consider how well both Tubular Bells 2 and 3 and The Millennium Bell VHS and DVD have sold. If a DVD like this were produced we would be more than happy to have it in every region of the world. Even the regions which have been ignored in the releases of the two other mentioned To celebrate the 30th anniversary of an artist as important as Mike Oldfield, I and all the fans think it acquires more than just a re-recording of his first album. Maybe Mike's manager has allready had similar ideas if not this letter should help. It would be such a good thing to have if it included the live footage from Knebworth from the Essensial MO video, I bet there are a lot of newer fans that would love to see it. We can but hope. I have TBII/III and Millennium Bell on DVD, but all those other videos and live ones he has done would be very good.
