ThisName Group: Members Posts: 307 Joined: July 2005 Posted: May 27 2006, 09:04 I know mike said the piece could never be played live but everytime i listen to it i feel the complete opposite! I think it could be played live and could be a fantastic live work. I can imagine banks of synths, guitars, percussion (including household items) a large african section, brass and strings, pianos on a huge stage, and the entire 60 minute work being played live. ThisName Group: Members Posts: 307 Joined: July 2005 Posted: May 27 2006, 12:05 I  can just imagine the huge africa section building up with a massive choir and the entire section comes crashing in for those final bars as fireworks shoot in the sky....oh that would be so sweet! There are lots of bits that would be great to hear live from it, including seeing mike throw a glass on the floor and sat on stage brushing his teeth! That would be so funny! It would be quite interesting to work out how many guitarists, keyboardists etc. you would need to perform it. It would be quite a few, but if you had really good musicians it wouldn't be a prohibitive amount. Of course, if Mike ever did decide to play Amarok my brain would explode from excitement and anticipation, so perhaps it's better that he doesn't... -------------- Thank-you for helping us help you help us all.
