Yes, Escher is great. I think he is the Mike Oldfield of drawing.
I don't think that the AstraZeneca logo has anything to do with the Möbius strip, as it's not really twisted... the Z is in front of the A, and the 'wire' (imagining it as made with a thick yellow wire) kind-of extends itself behind the Z to form the A. In other words, if you had a flexible piece of thick yellow wire, the logo would be very easy to re-make, I think.On the other hand, the Möbius strip's twist is quite weirder than the one in the logo, and the strip drawn by Escher with ants on top is indeed quite hard to physically re-build in that exact shape. At least I think so...
