I found this in a diary someone gave me, the logo is very teeny and I can't find a bigger one, but it does look a little familiar! Just look in the top left corner of this page

I quite like it.

P.S If this is in the wrong place, I'm sorry, please move it anywhere it should be. :)

yeah, I suppose it shows how strong an image Tubular Bells is for me. Anything even hinting at that wonderfully contorted shape immediately rings bells in my mind.

Pretzels? Now there's a thought Tubular Bells shaped food...the possibilities are endless!

The figure '4' in the logo of 'dance4life' is also rotated at an interesting angle... http://www.dance4life.com/main

That's great Ugo, to see it in a decent size. I love it, there's something very interesting about it. Even the images repeated in my diary, although a little bigger, are 'greyed' out and underneath the boring things like dates etc.

Somehow it reminds me of the Mobius Strip, and Escher did a slightly creepy thing with one of those and a couple of ants if I remember correctly. More connections with Mike! (Escher I mean)  :)

@ bee: do you mean this one below?

Yes, Escher is great. I think he is the Mike Oldfield of drawing. :)

I don't think that the AstraZeneca logo has anything to do with the Möbius strip, as it's not really twisted... the Z is in front of the A, and the 'wire' (imagining it as made with a thick yellow wire) kind-of extends itself behind the Z to form the A. In other words, if you had a flexible piece of thick yellow wire, the logo would be very easy to re-make, I think. On the other hand, the Möbius strip's twist is quite weirder than the one in the logo, and the strip drawn by Escher with ants on top is indeed quite hard to physically re-build in that exact shape. At least I think so... :)

Yes, that's the one! I love Escher too, I think it was seeing those images behind Mike on tour back in 79 or 80 that got me interested. Nice idea about him being the Oldfield of drawing! Mike is certainly Escher-ish or should that be -isch? ( not easy to say after a glass of wine!!;)  Another favourite image of mine is the one where one hand is drawing another. Very clever stuff.

You're probably right about the Mobius Strip, but I do love the way they both, the logo too, twist three dimensionally in space and are still connected. They kind of flow, like the bell image.
