Hmm, I might try to give you some advice. If you want something relaxing, I can recommend you "Hergest Ridge" and "Incantations", and for a more 80's approach, "Crises" and "QE2". And if you want something more unpredictable, get "Amarok", "Platinum" and maybe "Heaven's Open". But, of course, the decision is mainly yours.

The first ones I'd reccommend you getting are Incantations, Crises, QE2, and Hergest Ridge. Oh and Amarok.

The advice given so far is spot on but, you do realise that this is a very hard question depending upon your taste for 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's production qualities and probably your age (ie. real instruments rather than samples etc.)
I have them all and every album is excelent and different and you will probably get lots of recommendations that will leave you no better off.
You may as well stick a pin in the whole back catalogue and it is unlikely that you won't like what you buy.
For that bathtime mellow moment I suggest that you buy Incantations. It was the first Mike Oldfield album that I bought and got me hooked. It is of the Ommadown era.
I have to say I prefer the original Vinyl double album as a few crackles and pops seem to add to the depth but Side 4 is worn out and I have no idea where my turntable is! By the way, Part 4 as it is now known should be played loud on headphones!
In the UK you can buy it for £10.99 which is pretty good for nearly an hour and a half of music. I hope you can find it in Australia.

I hope this is of some use but if you buy it, get it on CD otherwise you will have to get out of the bath twice to turn the record over!

If you do listen to it all the way through in the bath, you will probably end up very pruney, but at one with the world but then again, that could also be because you rolled a 'fat one'!

Good luck, let me know how you get on.
