eh? Early release date? Or did somebody spread the news with a wrong date?  :p

I just looked on the site but they say it is still being tested... so guess the news isn't true.

Wow! this is a pleasant surprise :-) I'm downloading it now which will take almost 4 hours with my 56k modem   It's  69.35Mb - actually I was expecting a larger size.

I'll have to wait before purchasing and commenting  - waht an agonizing four hours  :/

on mikeoldfield.com Richard did say to expect early release - didn't expect it to be this early - wow - I've got 19% so far - watching the countdown screen just urging it to go faster  :D

i've already downloaded and purchased it. this time it has been instantly (i remember when i purchased tr3s lunas i had to wait for three days until being able to registrate it successfully).
after sending the payment details i was sent to a page that said "purchase failed", but i tried to registrate my id code and it worked!!
i'm very glad :)

ps. has anyone else noticed that the forums page doesn't work?

I ignored the purchase failed message too.  I've been flying around for an hour now using the shell avatar.  Found a room with a bowler hat that took me to a beach with a rainbow and a one-eyed man with a white stick - tried to give him the hat!  I felt so sorry for him. There's a distinct lack of music at the moment though.  I've had one snippet from tubular bells when I was at an open box but that's it....

Yeepee cayhey !

Got in ! Everything worked at the first time (download, install, buy, register) !!!

Not much music for the moment, just went again to the tunel / tubular bells collection section, except this time I could get all of them and reach the white/plated man cave with cage birds, but couldn't do anything except leaving.

But we'll see (and hear) :)

:music:

Is anyone else experiencing problems accessing the forums page at MO.com? It seems to have been down all day.

Me too!

And I get this message:
Can not open index.html.
Either this file does not exist or SCRIPT_ABS_PATH is not properly set.

Yes - it's been moved to a new server yet again to sort out some technical issues with the OS the previous one was running (Windows, it's now on Linux). Evidently a few things haven't yet been properly reconfigured.

It shouldn't matter anyway, you all have the forums here to visit, after all ;)

To answer my own question: YES, Mike is online... chatting with him right now, come join us everybody!!! Having a great time here.

He refuse to say anything about the new album, though. He just smiles and says "There will be music on it ;-)" when I asked him.

The IP is: 212.85.228.129

Actually I haven't heard much new music yet, only parts from TB2003. But Mike keeps talking about a special place that you can reach if you complete the game (and that seems VERY hard, you'll see what I mean). Mike seems rather secretive, but he gave me a few hints though. There are probably new music there. The game is HUGE, so there must be many places with music where I haven't been yet. It says on mikeoldfield.com that "you can also hear new and exclusive music specially produced by Mike Oldfield for the Maestro experience", so there must be new music somewhere! =)

BTW, Mike is gone for today, but will return tomorrow =)

found a few snippets around the tunnels off the cloud room... some are really nice.  Been playing this game all day  :D  with just a short break to listen to the 'Boro - come on have to get the priorities right!!!
I am totally addicted.  Lack of music is odd tho......

I'd be interested to hear how many people have bought Maestro....

I bought it today. It's the first full MusicVR episode I've played as I was away for a long period while Lunas came out

It's addictive, but at the same time quite frustrating. I got to three medals, but I haven't a clue what to do with them

So far I've heard the Finale music in the (very tricky) plane-shooting game. The textured tunnels in the big round room lead to some flat rooms that have music from TB2003 as well. I found looped sections from Harmonics and Bagpipe Guitars

I think discussion on this topic should move to the Maestro forum. Not much there at the moment

I'll spend tomorrow looking out for Mike on his fourm :)

After extracting all the game´s music on ogg format, there´s only two new little themes, the others are from TB2003. :/

And how does work the instant messenger system?
