Hello,

Due to the recent sad loss of Arthur C. Clarke,it seems quite fitting now that the arrangement of Magellan I've been working on this last week or so should be dedicated to his memory.....

Magellan Download (12mb)

Arranged and conducted by Bleat using Edirol Orchestral,a bit of guitar,a rocket made from an empty washing-up liquid bottle and double sided sticky tape......and a pair of hands......enjoy!

Peace

Beautiful. It must have felt really weird when you read that Clarke died, while you were making your cover track.
Definately a nice tribute! Even though I don't really like TSODE.

Hi Burning Fish, thanks for taking the time to listen, its much appreciated.

Yeah it was pretty uncanny that I just happened to be doing this at the time,I think its quite a fitting piece really and I knew it would transfer well....possibly the only piece on TSODE that could be changed yet still keep the intention of the original imo..
I also not only share his last name I also share his middle initial too.....spooky.I remember watching his shows on tv when I was little and always wondered if we were related....hmm.
Now that" Tubular Film Music Of The Spheres...er I mean "Music Of The Spheres" is upon us ,I thought I might as well give something from MO's past the classical treatment.......lets face it Mike wont go and do it will he...

Peace,
Bleat

Nice. Very Vangelis feel to the opening, but a good production.

Great job again Bleat !! It feels like a MOTS version, I like the instrument you are using. I think enyone can say that this is well done but I like the Song Of The Sun more   and keep up the good work !!!

Thanks for taking the time to listen, all comments are much appreciated (even if its a "well you've totally wrecked what was a good piece of music" comment) ..haha.

I've listened to MOTS once and it now resides in my pile of cd's somewhere........

I'm currently working on doing some guitar for Song Of The Sun and will adjust the mix accordingly then post it up for you.

Hello,

I was messing around with windows movie maker and came up with a video to go with Magellan.

It started off with great purpose ,as these grand ideas do,but rapidly became a series of randomly placed pics... :/

Anyhow it is located here for anyone interested :)

click me baby one more time  :O

Audio quality is not very good but I think you can still get the original download at the top of this thread if you want it.

Peace,
James
