Sorry for asking this, Branko - I've no intention at all to question your compositional skills - but this sounds very like a piece by an Italian 1980s dance project called Pink Project. This was formed by Stefano Pulga and Luciano Ninzatti, who became famous by merging The Alan Parsons Project's "Mammagamma" with Pink Floyd's "Another brick in the wall". During their brief period of success, they also released original compositions, one of which was called "Magic flight". So it's actually a double cover - Pink Project covering Space's song in 1983, and Branko covering it again now, totally unaware of PP.
