I just want to wish every one ...members of this community both past and present.... a very special, happy & peaceful time in the deep mid winter ( or summer if you are in the anitpodes !;)). For some reason I am so looking forward to it all, more than ever, just like a child infact, and want to share that feeling of celebration with everyone. Although members of this community from previous times , may not be posting as often, I am sure they call by from time to time, and as it's often a time for reflection, we can all remember each other.

And a very special wish for Mike & his family too, and a thank you for all the beautiful music. It still captivates me, it still moves me, it still makes me feel whole and complete and able to enjoy life. Without it, my life would be colourless.

I keep thinking in these days of downloads and electronic communication, is it ever going to happen that we willl become aware of so original a talent emerging from nowhere...as Mike did all those years ago. True talent will always surface, but there seems to be so much rubbish about, and so many distractions, I wonder if anything could ever have the impact that Tubular Bells did back in the 70's?
:)

Hello!

I also want to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year 2009!

I'm one of those who call by from time to time but don't take the time to post very often. Many thanks to all those who keep this place alive day by day.

And of course very special Christmas wishes to the man who is the reason for coming all together here in this place:

Merry Christmas, Mike and familiy, wish you all the best for the next year!

Greetings from Germany
Christine

... I wish you a Merry Christmas,
I wish you a nerry Christmas,
and (of course) a happy New Year.

By the way, I wonder why Mike O. never did this tune. Enya did, Blackmore's Night did and Mike didn't. Maybe two Christmas tunes are enough for him? :D

Still stuck in the arctic, are you, Project Z? Now I'm feeling slightly guilty for sipping hot tea, here, while you are frozen in ice!

Best wishes to everyone, here, at Tubular.net. Happy Yule!

(PS: Goodness. It's snowing again! )

Merry Christmas and happy new year to you, too, Ugo.

I'd like to have more Christmas tunes from MO, as well. I'm fond of "The Holly & The Ivy". Actually, more tunes of any kind at all would be very welcome. :)

Mike doing a record of Christmas carols? What a horrible idea! I don't think there's a single Christmas Carol that sheer repetition hasn't reduced to a most painful experience for me. Or maybe it's the genre... Sibelius's Opus 1 contains Christmas songs, and I don't care for them either. I'd take Mike's "Peace on Earth" over any Christmas carol any day!

Merry Christmas Ugo and Everyone!

About a week ago I ordered In Dulci Jubilo for a ringtone - for christmas fun. Yesterday I got a new phone and just had to get Angelique, for it's a "truetone". Fun stuff. It's the little things.

I've ate too much, so I'll just drink (a lot) for the rest of the evening. :)

PS. My greetings are late, but I couldn't log in from where I was yesterday.

Once again, Merry Fun Christmas!

Happy Yuletide, Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, and other observances of the season! May the season be filled with happiness, peace, and good cheer for you. May the upcoming year be bright, happy, and peaceful, as well! :)

Mmmm.....it is certainly my favorite song of the season. Twice my daughters and I performed it at a Unitarian Christmas Eve service.
