Hello. i was just asking does Mike Oldfield owns or has owned a second home in Cornwall in the ST Austell area? Cause i was speaking to someone who says he has. If anyone has any ideas they would be appreciated.

Thanx in advance

I do not know if this is true, but I would be really pleased for Mike if he had found a place in Cornwall. It is a beautiful county. I really love it & get down for a visit most summers. This year I'm going via Hergest Ridge, to stay near there for a few days. I tell my family it's to break the journey, but really I just have to go there again!!

You mentioned St Austell, Cornishmikefan,  & I beleve that's pretty near the Eden Project ( huge Biospheres of plants from all over the world ). Now if Mike would like to do a concert there I should think it would be a huge success! Plants, Mike Oldfield and Cornwall - life doesn't get much better than that!!!!

The Eden project has hosted some music events, many from "World" artistes. Peter Gabriel put on an event there during the "Live 8" day, featuring musicians from many of the areas needing help. There are often musical event during the day, from african story telling to english folk, all reflecting the multi-cultural array of plants and how they are important to our lives.

I'm lucky enough to live just an hour away, and visit often. In fact, I took an American and a German tub.net friends there a year or so ago.

Cornwall is alive with history, strong Celtic links and many Spiritual places. I imagine that it would be a perfect place for Mike to play, either at the Eden Project, Minnack Theatre or just on the high moors. Think of Mike's soaring music set to a backdrop of Tors, low skies or the crashing waves on the cliff coasts.

Come to think of it, my back garden would also be pretty cool!  :D

Odd i know and we live so close to it. :)  I can imagine Mike down here at the Eden Project.

I have also been told by my photography technician that Mike performed at the Cornwall Colliseun in the 80's. he said it was a good performance. Does any on have any details on that. If so it would be appreciated.
Many thanx

Ben
