Actually I just wanted to say that I was admitted to Oxford
University and I am really extraordinarily happy.

Now what does it have to do with mike?

well his music was of quite some help to me. while writing my
application SODE, Inc and many others were playing in the background, at the interviews I used OMMADOWN right before them to calm down and SODE in the evenings to fall asleep and now that I got the letter the first thing I did was listen to amarok in order to link it with yet another positive emotion....

so now I have even more reasons to feel thankful towards Mike Oldfield.......

There's a real connection between Mike and Oxford:
Molly Oldfield studied History and Spanish there.

Congratulations Attmo!  I studied physics there and had a whale of a time, and I'm sure you are going to have the time of your life too.  The first two times that I saw MO were at the New Theatre (Apollo) in Oxford - in 1980 for the Platinum tour and in 1982 (?) for the Five Miles Out tour, so I have very fond memories of MO and Oxford.  Let's hope that you have the same opportunity before too long.
