Yes, he visits the site, and occasionally views some of the forum discussions, but that's about as far as it goes. As you guess, he's not really that kind of guy - he doesn't even take part in discussions on his own forums at mikeoldfield.com. I think it's probably true to say that he does sometimes take thoughts on board from forums such as these. I suspect that the last minute addition of parts of the Tubular Bells demos to the DVD-A came after fans complained that extras of that kind were lacking from the disc - if Mike had wanted them on there from the beginning, I really doubt he'd have let the disc get as far as an acetate stage before he said anything. I think he mostly just reads the topics in the news forum which can be accessed via the main page, perhaps as a way of getting an idea of the public opinion over the latest developments. I don't believe he has much interest in the other areas of discussion and he certainly didn't read the discussions on copy protection before he spoke to The Guardian...
