I've just been reading Mike Oldfield's Biography on here, as I wanted to know how old he is.  I then find out he moved to Romford in Essex when he was 13.  That's where I live! :D

I want to try and find out what school he went to when he lived there.  Anyone know?

the only thing i found out about that is this:
In 1966 the family moved to Hornchurch in Essex where Mike attended a local grammar school which, after an argument with the headmaster over the length of his hair, he left in 1968.

The headmaster was no doubt pleased to see the change in Mike's hair from the "Ommadawn" cover to the "Incantations" cover.

Where the Falls of Minnehaha
Flash and gleam among the oak-trees,
Laugh and leap into the valley."
