I asked a question in another topic but it got kinda swamped, so I thought I'd give it a separate thread....

Seeing as how I never got to hang out on Mike's now defunkt official message board - can anybody remember anything Mike posted about his records that they found particularly illuminating?

If I remember correctly he didn't talk about his albums, or even about his life ;)

The section for Mike's posts were on how Maestro was coming on, and things that players could try in the game. The last post before it got deleted was kind of relavent - it asked members not to post any personal topics and to just concentrate on his creative output. It was later changed to 'Thanks for all your birthday wishes'

As some people have said, it's odd that Mike's posts were deleted too. They may well return again if the board is being updated

Wow, so the fans' opinions influenced the project he was working on?  I'm amazed!

Earlier this week, on the Amarok Mailing List I posted a link to his comments about the new album. I am sooo mad at myself for not posting the text as well!

His comments were so upbeat and positive! IIR, he was sort of apologetic for not being in Maestro as much as in the past (and I think he mentioned the timeframe when he expected to be there), but said he was trying to get his head around the new album. He seemed appreciative of the input he had received, and was optimistic that we'd lilke the direction into which he was heading with the new material.

May he drink deeply from the Spring of Hippocrene and dazzle us all!

Do you think about this one?

"Hallo All
Sorry I have not been in Maestro that often recently but I have been getting my head round the new album.
I think you will be surprised and I hope delighted with the finished work. I have many new tools and techniques to get to grips with not loosing sight of the old ones of course.
After all with T Bells I stretched the limits of the recording studio at that time. Where would T Bells be without the Voltage controlled tape loop organ chord!!!!
I will try to be online at least once a week in Maestro.
Thanks so much for all your posts and ideas they really do help me.
See ya soon
Mike"
