There I was, busy cooking bacon and eggs for the family Breakfast this morning, when over the sizzling came the unmistakable sound of Mike singing!

Nearly enough to make me drop my spatula I tell you.

I'm usually a Radio 4 man, but we are staying at my dad's and he had BBC Radio 2 on.

<edit> oops - forgot to say it's at the 1:45:00 mark. Sallyangie - Lady Mary which I think has found it's way onto a Universal "Prog Rock" compilation although it is folk. Typical Universal.

Got to say, I do like Mikes vocals in the sallyangie era. That was lovely...

Just imagine the media circus if a 15 year old was to put out a folk album of that quality in this day and age. Youtube, music magazines would be full of it.

Mind you, unless they had gorgeous teen looks to attract the little girl fans they's never get into the recording studio I guess.

Nah, unless they'd already made their album on their own a record company probably wouldn't be interested these days.
