Did anyone see the interview with Murray Gold, the composer of the new Dr Who series on Blue Peter today ( UK) ?

He has been asked to compose the new Blue Peter tune and told blue peter presenters he was inspired to make music at 10 years old when he saw Mike on Blue Peter putting the track together.

They then showed some footage of Mike making the track, and some footage I didn't recognise as I have the film on video tape when they showed it again in 1982.

They may repeat Blue Peter again as its shown on some other BBC digital channel. Keep a look out!!!

Wow! I have only just finished looking at at a clip of the Blue Peter video,came on here & saw your topic.Many thanks for posting the link,as I didn't have the whole video

It's interesting to learn that Murray Gold is to compose the new signature tune,can't wait to hear what he'll come up with.

Great fun that Blue Peter video was, thank you for the link.
It was nice to hear mike talking, he sounds just the same today. The other man was hilarious: "...and now Mike plays these instruments called synthesizers...".
:laugh:

Mike let others play on the track as well, it looked like fun.

Now I`ll listen to the other "Blue Peters"...
