Hello. Do you like beer, and do you like cheese?

By the way, I love your cover art for "Incantations 2"

Sorry, you must be thinking of www.tubeofpaint.com, the main site for fans of Mike Oldfield the painter. Mostly, it is filled with messages wondering why he does not paint like he did in the mid-1970s, and how he uses too much technology in his modern art (put down PhotoShop. pick up the brush! )

Now we know why there is so much time between albums - he has been concentrating on his paintings!

This is all very funny.   Some months ago I received an e-mailed letter from Ugo Coppola. I thought - what? Am I getting a letter from myself? :D It turned out that I have an homonym in Argentina - a 6-year-old child. He was not aware of me and I was not aware of him until he found my name on a website (not this one) and he wrote me.  Funny old little world, ain't it? :)

I add another reply so I don't waste all my available smileys on the previous one... :D

M.O. is just one name in a very long list of famous homonyms. There are, amongst many others, a Brian May who directs films, a Paul McCartney who wrote travel books in the 1800s and a Christopher Columbus who never reached America because he was born there :D. He is a famous film director, but he never uses his full name for obvious reasons. :)

And here in Italy we have (among others) at least two famous Michele Santoro: one is a music producer/arranger, the other one is a TV talk show host with a very evident left-wing political orientation.

My husband's best friend once found an LP of the Mad Max movie soundtrack in a secondhand record store.  He bought it for me as the music was by Brian May, he knows I also love Queen's music, as well as Mike's.

I was puzzled :/ as in the Queen/Brian May discographies it had no mention of Brian composing the music to the Mad Max films.  Then upon reading the text on the back it all became crystal clear, it was Brian May the Austrailian composer, responsible for the MM films.  I guess it's the thought that counts   :).

I have the soundtrack to Mad Max 3. Wonderful Maurice Jarre music; the best film composer I can think of.

And he's the father of Jean Michel Jarre!
Genius in the family! :)
