He learnt the guitar by analysing the playing of a lot of other guitarists - folk guitarists Bert Jansch and John Renbourn amongst them. He was taught music at school (like many children across the world), but didn't do very well at it - similar to the way Albert Einstein never did very well in maths at school, perhaps. Back to top

qjamesfloyd Group: Members Posts: 1357 Joined: April 2001 Posted: Sep. 17 2002, 13:45 This is the main reason why Mike was always called a genius when he was first making music,he has a true god given gift,and he was a huge influence on my music making,the first track i wrote and performed was called "The View From My Mind's Eye"and it had 8 instruments on it,the only thing i did'nt play was drums,not my thing.
