Hello
I have just seen on a Spanish site a very interesting picture.
We can see a studio in a old house. In fact, it is about Mike's son studio in Denham, where Mike lived end of 70's.
There are some guitars in it and I am quite sure that one of them is his Gibson L-6S Deluxe which he used in Knebworth in 1980. There is a PRS as well.

Link of Mike's son: http://lukeoldfield.com/Luke_Oldfield/Welcome.html

Link of the house: http://littlehalings.com/Little_Halings/Welcome.html

Link of the studio:

Any info?

:)

Thanks to the Spanish fans

As we can clearly see Mikes Gibson L6-S Deluxe on the very left, the PRS could as well be a legacy.

I always wondered if Mike's childrens were doing music, so I have an answer now about at least one, Luke.

Noah Daniel (his son with Anita Hegerland) is also a musician in Norway.

The best thing from them is the fact they don't need to say "I'm Mike Oldfield's son" to achieve something.

I've always admired that guitar ever since I first saw Mike playing it at Knebworth. I like the scroll work on the scratchboard, with a natural finish. I think there were about 3500 made in that period, and tried to purchase one a while back but bought a strat instead.
I'd love those sorts of hand me downs.   :)

That studio is cheap! It's tempting to spend a few days there just to have recorded in the legendary Five Miles Out-studio!

3500 made but only one with that particular scratchplate which was custom made by Tony Zemaitis in 1979 or 1980.

I remember reading that somewhere but forgot. Danny O'brien (great Irish name) does the engraving.
Some great Guitars on that site, I'd be like a little boy in a sweet shop there.   :D
