i just got the excellent new badly drawn boy album 'about a boy', a soundtrack to a new nick hornby film with hugh grant...and there were parts high reminiscient of Oldfield!...I Love NYE sounds just like the beginning of Orabidoo with its soft warm textures and genuine beauty...whereas Something To Talk About features the same chord progression at the start as The Great Plain's tremendous melodic climax...its definitely the best new album of this year that i've heard so far...anyone else notice the Oldfield similarities?
