Is there any Item of Mikes you would like Re Released and Improved upon with Additional Tks or added Extras...

Personally Id like to Have  "The Songs of Distant Earth" rereleased in a nice Digi Pack with a Windows Version of the Multi Media Item on it...

Oh, there are lots I'd ask for. :) Here are some:

- A tracked Amarok. Yes, a 52-track CD. ;)
- An official release in 5.1 and DTS of Hergest Ridge, original mix. But Mike doesn't like that album, so... :)
- An official CD release of Platinum, inlcuding "Sally".
- A remix of QE2 (the title track).
- A Killing Fields release comprising all the music from the film, including of course the "Dark Room" segment.
- An Earth Moving 2. I'd love to see Mike writing pop songs again! :D

1. Hergest Ridge. Nice-looking double disc (digipack of course) with both mixes, liner notes from Tom Newman + previously unseen photographs.

2. CD release of the Space Movie (or was that Reflections?) material. I'm talking of the short instrumentals that I downloaded somewhere which among other things contained themes later used in Platinum.

3. Re-release of Discovery with bonus tracks (singles B-sides plus the mysterious songs that appear on a piece of paper in a photo on the inner sleeve).

That would be just enough for me!

I really would like a complete remastered collection of Mike's Virgin Years with a lot of bonus material (at least one bonusdisc for an album)...
A bit like Pet Shop Boys with their 'Further listening...' releases of their first 6 (?) albums...
Or like the new Alan Parsons Project Deluxe Edition of 'Tales of Mystery and Imagination' (original 1976 + remixed 1987 version + 8 bonustracks)

Something like (all digipack of course, with nice booklet) :
Tubular Bells : remastered + singles + some live stuff (first live performance or so) or the demos (now only available on TB2003-DVD)
Hergest Ridge : both mixes remastered
Orchestral Tubular Bells : remastered + Orchestral Hergest Ridge
Ommadawn : ....

and so on till Heaven's Open... So that we have everything that Mike has recorded during the Virgin period (all singles, all extended versions,...)

I know... dream on...

"The Songs Of Distant Earth" in a crystal clear DTS-5.1-Mix on DVD-Audio, authorized by Mike including the multimedia-tracks, interviews (Mike, Arthur C. Clarke), making-ofs, etc. Something like Alan Parsons' "A Valid Path".

I wouldn't be looking for any re-relases of music.... but I would love one of the PRS guitars he sold on, or his Clavia Nord Lead synth would be a great tool to have. :p
