Although nowadays Mike prefers 100% white or gray T-Shirts without nothing written on it,my vote on this poll was for the zebra skin from TB III premiere, too fashion,I love it.

And where's the "shirtless" option?

Do you mean most awesome as in scariest, in which case that would have to be the stripey gold and black shirt :/ , so 80's. For me the most awesome would have to be anythiong hippyish :D

Mike only wore beautiful clothes, and that was in 1975. So the brown two-tone is my choice.

"black sparkle", especially combined with those green pants from the Knebworth video, are absolutely horrible!

Black Sparkle - the one with the notes made out of diamonds. (BTW, were they real diamonds?) A real musician should be proud of wearing musical notes on his chest. :)

I know, I know. It did occur to me, but I figured I should try to reign in my inner fangrrrl whenever possible. ;)

Sorry, no, I didn't mean scary. Hehe. Maybe I should have said "most excellent".

I thought it might have been metallic thread?

I like all of them, but 'Brown Two-Tone' is my favorite. 'Black Sparkle' and 'Zebra Skin' were tied for my second fave.

ETA: I see there is now a lonely vote for 'Vertical Stripes' - YAY! I personally think it's kinda sexy.

@ Tati: Could Mike Oldfield wear a composition not by Mike Oldfield on his chest? I don't think so. :D

@ Sweetpea: I think I've read somewhere that the notes, i.e. the noteheads, were made out of diamonds or something similar. The rest of it (i.e. the staffs etc) may well be metal thread... ;)

LOL Drycleaning? That or a soft toothbrush applied with tender loving care.

Eighteen votes and not a single one for the E.A.T. shirt. Aside from the unfortunate acronym, I like it. It's too bad that in cropping the image, the smirky expression was lost, and that's what really sells it!

I went for the black sparkle one in the end, cause I'm such a magpie when it comes to shiny things!
However, if it had been an option, I'dve gone for the pink & yellow stripey number a la Montreux 81...

Well I wanted to vote for the brown two tone shirt because that was when my favourite photo of Mike ever was taken, and I really like the zebra shirt with the white suit, but I had to vote for the sparkly black T because I read somewhere that it was encrusted with real diamonds and cost a lot of $$$$$$$. Was it $20,000????

Has anyone got a better photo of the sparkly black T shirt?

I'm sorry for not including that option, Ebony. Of course, there's no saying we can't have a MOMAS II... though I think we should have more than 'pink & yellow stripey' and 'un-shirt' to choose from. Any other nominations?

True, there should be.  Though if "un-shirt" is one of the options surely any other options would be moot because there'd be no competition?

I would agree with this except for the fact that, here on TubularBoard, men outnumber women 40 to 1.

I love many pics of Mike, around the Ommadawn era, especially the ones where he's wearing a blue tunic/shirt  :)  :D , there the ones that do it for me Found some pics here http://www.toucansolutions.com/oldfield/.

Sorry if the links don't work, it's just my boyfriend has bought me a new computer, bless him, I love him, (I loved him before he bought me my new  pc, and still do)  :)  :D , and I'm still trying to work out how to use Windows Vista, as it's totally different to my old antique PC.

I thought the ratio was about 5/1 or 6/1, but it will give us girlies ( and any males who are so inclined too) something to oggle.
