Hey everyone, I am new here but recently (after loving Tubular Bells, but never venturing too far into much of Oldfield's other stuff) I bought Music Of The Spheres. I love the CD, but was wondering if anyone knew of any plans to bring a Vinyl version. I just recently fixed my old record player and have it hooked up to a good sound system, better than my CDs, which go through my computer....which is terrible. Haha, any news would be brilliant, thanks!

I wouldn't count on it. Why don't you just take the line out of your computer and run it to AUX ins on your stereo? Or tape monitor, etc. I've been doing that for years. Then run your tape monitor out/rec to your PC line in, then you can record your LP's to MP3s. Even clean the pops/clicks out with software.

Haha I actually have done that before, with my old setup. With the record player working though, I don't know something bout it and analog sound and everything, I just enjoy the music more. Haha, guess I will be picking up a new Tubular Bells record then!

Whatever.......I've enjoyed doing so many things by hooking my PC up to my stereo that way. Everything going into my sound card comes from the main outs of a 16ch mixer. That could be a guitar I can use to jam with band in a box software or guitar pro, etc. Or a turntable, or a theremin. If you download MP3's, your'e going to have so much more fun with them. I do enjoy restoring some fav. LP's with software, but in general, the CD/MP3(if it's at least 128Kb/sec) sounds better than an LP to me...........just my 2 cents worth.
