FINALE: Terry & Sally Oldfield announce Mike's arrival as he steps up to the stage. Mike cries, nervously delivers a thankyou speech and tells the world he will marry his dear beloved Fanny. The Chieftains then come on stage to join Mike (guitar), Terry (flute) and Sally (vocals) in performing an extended version of In Dulci Jubilo, featuring the original Spanish vocals.
Then comes the fireworks. HOORAY!
Two months later a non-region encoded DVD concert film, containing behind the scenes footage shot by Phil Joanou ("Rattle & Hum"), shows up in stores everywhere. The Double CD of the event reigns supreme on US, UK and Australian charts only to be toppled in March 2004 by Mike Oldfield's much anticipated new album "Incantations: The Second Chapter" - featuring two twenty minute instrumentals and eight pop songs performed in Latin and Aramaic by Sally Oldfield and Natacha Atlas respectively. "Incantations: The Second Chapter" becomes Oldfield's biggest selling album to date, outselling even the "Tubular Bells" trilogy.
And Wanderer dies in 2083, a very happy man.
