Thanks for that caveman, really enjoyed watching those vids this morning. Can`t believe that was only your singer`s 2nd gig ever. She has a fantastic voice and seemed very relaxed singing there too.I was never really a big fan of that Alanis Morrisette song previously but you`ve just converted me with your version.Even all the shenanigans going on in that camper van behind you did`nt dampen my enjoyment of it.And despite the lack of any kind of drums/percussive device. Both Wade In The Water and that Morcheeba song were giving me itchy feet here.As Maggie herself would say "I really (felt} I could dance. "And I liked your own compostion as well, very nice.

Anyway despite the fact that there`s only the three of you,and it`s all kind of acoustic based. That`s a fairly vast musical palette you`ve all got going on there.I honestly think that will only be of benefit when you guys make it into the studio.Looking forward to hearing the results.     :)

 Well yeah I`m no expert but I`m sure if Mike did hear her sing he would say the same thing.Anyway speaking of being "no expert" What key is that Alanis Morrisetts song in?I`m only asking because her voice sounded very suited to that to me.And then I don`t know why but it makes me wonder if you do any Sandy Denny covers in your set?Oh and just for balance I love that big dramatic chord you put in between the lines there on that song as well.Heh heh would`nt want you feeling left out there.Just imagine I`m Mike Oldfield or something.I`m smoking a fag here at the moment if that helps any?..    :p

Do you roll your own? I believe Mike's an Old Holborn man.

Uninvited is really easy. It's in D major going to Gmin. The chrus is G major,C and back to D.The  end bit's just an improvised jam on D.
I'm actually going to change the end cos i've worked out how to drop into DADGAD tuning while playing.Stolen unashamadly from Mrs Moon And The Tatched Shop.

Can't say i've heard of Kosheen but we all love Sandy Denny so there's a little of that in her voice. Her and the Keyboard player,Steve, are brother and sister and their Dad was a folk singer so they had the right muusical upbringing.Steve's played for years but Jodie hasn't done anything till i decided to do something.
Played Steve Incantations.....he went into raptures  :)

Yes I do roll me own.It kind of switches between Drum and Amber Leaf which I`m led to believe Mike does smoke apparently. Can`t be doing with Old Holburn though too much moisture in it for me.Takes a lifetime just to smoke one of those things.Although according to statistics that lifetime does become considerably shortened of course,so I guess it`s all relative.

So is Steve the Les Dawson member of the band then?Only joking I`m just picking up on a comment I remember you making elsewhere.Guitar and keyboards what can I say? He`s obviously very talented as well. And the folk influence is there I`m glad you`ve told me that. There`s like a great "dark" quality to Jodie`s voice which probably partly comes from that I guess.

I know you do a Morcheeba song in your set there,so Kosheen are not a million miles away from that imo.A little more pop maybe dance orientated but the singer does have those kind of folky/dark qualities in her voice to me.They`re very good though.A little under-rated I think.

Oh yes and Mrs Moon and the Thatched Shop nice one.I think you should definetly go for that in there sounds like a great idea.

The bit i 'borrowed'(read ripped off-thanks Mike)from Mrs Moon....is the heavy chords bit just before the 3 Blind Mice ending.Tried it last night and it worked nicely so i'll keep it in.
To be honest we were all a bit 'Les Dawson' last night.Dunno wether it was because it was so warm or other influences (ahem)but we were all a little off form.Oh well,it happens.
Must check out Kosheen.I'm intrigued now.
