Hi,

Tubularrrrr bells inspired me to do my own two long piece album. I did however cut it in small parts for youtube.

01. The Chamber

The others will follow shortly :)

So far I like this. Very nice guitars in both tracks and the oriental feel in the second one is cool.

That is some really creative stuff ya got there! I expected, as being fan music (or music I would imagine try to emulate the sound of MO) it would be somewhat sub-par, yet what I have listened to is equal or greater to much of Mike's work! I will be watching this space...

The Chamber Reprise (not actually a reprise..more like the actual part, maybe the first part was a prelude?)

The Cure

part 6 (still side one).

The Cure / Swept by rain ( swept by rain fragment is where the beat kicks in ).

This is almost the part where the story gets lost....it goes through all sorts of changes almost to get to the heart of the matter. Swept by rain feels like a cleansing rain before you are ready to go home.

I finally got around to listening. This is good stuff! I mean like professional good. Why don't you look around and see if a label is interested? And if not a traditional record label, I am positive that there would be some netlabels around that would love to release this. Seriously, look in to it. :)

Hi guys,

thanks :)
Yeah I will. Need to look into what kind of label I'd need to contact. Anyway, dreamed that MO listened to it one day and decided to help me produce it further professionaly. But dreams will be dreams

There's lots and lots out there. A few that come to mind that release music similar to yours:

Stadtgruen label

Archaic Horizon

Soft Phase

Resting Bell

All of these are netlabels which release music for free - generally under Creative Commons licenses. Most of them will accept submissions - just send them your album and wait and see if they are interested. Certainly a lot more people would hear your work if you were to do so.

I will obviously first try to get it on a commercial label for a while. If that does not work out we'll try this free label idea :D

:D Can't say I blame you. Well, if that doesn't work out and you decide to go the netlabel route, drop me a line, because I know a good bit about that scene.

I've caught up on some of the new parts, and it remains amazing Syd B was right, you definetaly need to contact some sort of label to market this.

You could really get out with a commercial label, but thats unlikely in these times of uber pop. An independant label of some sort is much more likely to accept this type of music, and if that fails, you can try some of those labels Syd was mentioning.

Not really sure why I posted this, it just reiterated what everyone had already said :p

Oh, and it is relatively normal to have a prelude to a theme introduced later (Chamber, Chamber reprise). The Who did it in 1969 on Tommy (Sparks- track 5 (3 minutes), Underture- track 10 (10 minutes))

the funny thing to me is that the chamber reprise is really different in a way as well.

I'll keep you updated!

I can see how the reprise is different, but only slightly. But that's all you can expect from a casual listener, some of those slight touches you put into the songs are visible to you you as you wrote all of it. It's kind of wierd how that happens... hmm...

ehm yes :)

There's two part 10's...
"relax" was the original tune which I found a bit unfitting the whole album.
"Midnight fire" replaced it but I just uploaded both.
