The following download will be available for 7 days or 25 downloads. It is called 'Night of the Long Knives' by Andy Pickford. First come - first served.

If you're into Electronic or instrumental music with an edge, I think you'll enjoy this. The bloke is brilliant on synths. I'll say no more and leave you to make up your own mind, if you can be bothered!

Thanks for this 'person with the long name', I was pleasantly surprised to hear the music. It certainly has an Oldfield-feel to it. It's interested me enough to want to seek out some more. Just when you think there can't be any more good music, possibly ever, then you turn over a few stones & discover a new gem. Love this site for that, have learnt a lot about many different artists quite by accident. Serendipity I guess!

Btw, is Andy Pickford an English chap, not that it makes any difference, just like to know things! And what's a good album to listen to first?

Hi Bee - great to know that someone enjoyed the track. Yes - Andy Pickford is English.

Of his albums, I think the first 4 are all excellent. That's not to say his later albums are not as good, it's just that I discovered his music chronologically, so as soon as I heard his first album, I was hooked and have bought his music ever since.

The first four albums are:

'Replicant'
'Terraformer'
'Maelstrom'
'Xenomorph'

The track I supplied the link for is from his fourth album - 'Xenomorph'. But to give you a taster of his debut album (just to show that there was no lack of quality from day one), I have supplied a link to the eponymous track from 'Replicant' below.

Happy listening!
