I've seen the TV ad on a website here, the drum kit is very similar to the one Phil uses, and it was considered here as an awesome TV ad...but what's the relationship with the chocolate?

I think the advertising people sit around the pub and come up with cool ideas. THEN they just use it for whatever job comes along next, whether it fits or not.  :p

There is'nt supposed to be one.

Why? Because would we be talking right now if there was? The idea was to spark off people talking about it. and it did its job, being one of the most popular ad's of the year.

Its a great ad. Gets your attention just as its supposed to do.
I was half expecting the drummer to remove the mask to unearth Peter Gabriel!!

Hey, what do you mean it aint a real gorilla?? Thought it was!

I love the ad: and no I don't think there is a direct correlation between the ad and the product. It's simply there to create discussion. And by the very fact this thread of possibly many threads across the internet would indicate the ad has accomplished this.

I do prefer these abstract ads over the more mundane "here's the product; it does this; its' great. Buy it!" And of course the more abstract the more it will generally stay in the mind long after the ad campaign has ended.
