This is of course only for the ones who know about this bunch of seven Germany-based, American vocal-only performers who had a hit with a vaguely hip-hop cover of Phil Collins' "In the air tonight." On the liner notes of their «Ready II fly» album, they claim that "All musical sounds, including drums, are created by the human voice." Yet the credits for the albums individual songs are mentioning "Vocal shaping and manipulation" and "Vocal drum programming" by various people. And indeed there are a lot of sounds sounds in there which don't really sound like human voices - they sound like Roland drum machines, sampled guitars, sampled strings, vintage synths................................................................................. So, if anyone has heard of them (not just "Feel it", I mean the album), I'd like to know what they think. My own opinion about them is that, although they make quite nice songs [their style of rap and hip-hop is closer to some 1980s rappers, which I like, than to Eminem & C., which I hate ] they aren't credible as an a cappella band, and that they will never perform live without being backed by a massive amount of pre-recorded or sampled stuff. Of course, that's only my opinion, and I'd love to hear somebody else's.
