Hello you !

It has surely been a time of big changes and realisations these last few months, not least of which has been the writing of my Autobiography.
This is nearing completion with the help of my co writer Jon Collins and hopefully will be published this year if not early next.

During the process ofbringing this book to life I have realised a great many things about myself and my position in the scheme of things.( Oh for the gift of hindsight ! )

This will surely influence my future personally and creatively.

I have contractually three and a half more years to work on a new piece of music so this will give it a chance to evolve and mature nicely.

Meanwhile look out for some promotion for the Platinum Collection , the book , and who knows what elsethe fates may send .

With all my best wishes : )

Mike

well spotted captain.

Book? Golly gosh, now there is something to look forward too. no doubt some amongst us will discover which publishing house has the contract. And it is interesting that by writing/ghosting this, Mike has had a good long look at his past. The mistakes, the highs.

I hope he realises that a good tour and being close to his fans were the best times, and tries to repeat them. That might be my own wishful thinking.

3 and a half years for the next album? What? which dumbo at Mercury signed that deal? No doubt it will mature nicely, but I can't wait another 3 years.

The answer is 42 - but what is the question?

I remember that I read an old interview that he said about writing his autobio way back in 2003 after the release of TB 2003. Seems that now he felt confortably to do it so.

The mature Mike Oldfield has just appeared from his own hibernaculum. Well done Mike!

Also, if he tour we will have alot of fun to collect all the differnt live recorded concert from many fans..
Would'nt that be great??

and also, if you want to read a book instead, well at last there is one choice  ;)  :D

Is see on Amazon that there is a Jon Collins who has done books on Rush and Marillion. I wonder if this is the same one MO is working with?

Interesting news indeed, though I'm not sure how much Mike will be able to tell us that will really clarify anything.

(The first part of the Dylan autobiog, Chronicles, gave virtually nothing away either, but was crafted together so cleverly that one felt that it did! )
