According to BBC news (see this link) Princes' new album is being given away free. Remembering the recent fuss about Tubular Bells I wonder if Prince knows about this!

Note I am not a fan of Princes' music, just interested in the discussion about free givaways...

Got to go up later and get my "Free" copy to see what all the Fuss is about... on the BBC they  reckoned Prince will make a Quick Half Million off the "Mail" so it gives an indication of how much the Mail rakes in off these Deals.. Some doom and GloomMusic Journalist depending on your point of view was reckoning the Days of Paying for Music will be gone in the next Decade..It will sort of force the Artists to make the Bucks off Merchandise and Concerts which in one respect could be good as it will force them to be more Active on the "Live" Front..  MO has made his dough so it wont effect him but any one Hoping to make it big in the next Decade better be prepared to do biz in a whole new way I guess compared to past generations.

Today HMV were also selling the Mail On Sunday, this to me look's a little like they too embrace the idea of Free music, all be it for the price of a read. I wonder if there would be less fuss if there is not already about music that is given away by music papers/magazines.
