Hi,

I just thought I'd let you all know that my 2nd CD of instrumental music, Fractal Landscapes, is now available under my 'pen name' of Purple Rhapsody.

You can listen to the whole CD for free on SoundClick.com (www.soundclick.com/purplerhapsody - then click on the 'music' link) together with my first CD.

If you're so impressed that you want to buy it ;-) then it's available from iTunes (other electronic download stores soon) and from CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com/all/purplerhapsody) who ship worldwide.

Isn't the internet wonderful? Being able to share the music I've created after listening to geniuses like Mike Oldfield, Rick Wakeman, Jean-Michel Jarre, etc for years is fantastic.

I hope you enjoy it. Any comments, positive or negative are welcome - although obviously I'd prefer constructive comments ;-)

Cheers,
Terry.

Terry,

I'm a sucker for quality piano compositions and you are quite talented.  Curious to what you are using in the way of software and the piano.  Is that live piano or virtual (vst?)?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the compliment!  :)

My piano sound is from a Yamaha Clavinova CLP-130 recorded in 24-bit quality through an E-MU 0404 USB. I use the Clavinova for the string and choir sounds too. I also use the Crystal VST Instrument and a plug-in called SFZ that let's me use Creative Soundfont banks in my sequencer using Midi. Other instruments include Fender Strat, Oldfield 5-string natural wood bass guitar, Tanglewood acoustic, and a classical guitar.

I use Cubase LE and Sonar LE software to put my tracks together.

Cheers,
Terry.
