According to an  Interview in today's SUNDAY TELEGRAPH, and about 12 paragraphs in, one of the current projects Mike is currently working on is "one of the few things I haven't done.. a rock album!"

I was just looking around the forum if anybody else saw that!

"Current projects: the remastering of his back catalogue, a new compilation (Two Sides), and “one of the few things I’ve not done — a rock album”.
He mentions that one of the songs on the latter references domestic violence, “which I experienced a long time ago”."

Well, we learned recently why he was recording the session drummer over Skype - that was for Olympic ceremony - so are we soon to find out about his working with Don Black?

Mike + rock album = bound to be bloody brilliant! Can't wait! What's more exciting though is that we can expect something new from Mike, so at least we know he still has it in him!

This is the most fantastic news I have heard for a long time, I have been patiently waiting for this since the last one... in 1982.  :p
