Have you seen the performance of Ommadawn, with a big orchestra + big choor? And Mike, wonderfully playing first the aucustic guitar and then switching to the electric ... that moment, when the guitar screems out the first few notes ... I have seen many live Ommadawn performances during the years, and I think this one best captures the true beuty of the composition. Of course, the "great solo" is missing, but despite that, I think this night was magic!!! Note the wonderfully expressful low-key phrases on the aucustic guitar immediate in the begin; underrated. He is a master in many ways, one is in finding rather simple but communicating guitar phrases fitting perfectly the rest of it GREAT MIKE!!! Back to top
